Part 8 of the GAM aims to assist practitioners in the financial management in the specific areas of asset valuation and auditing. It focuses on the regular reporting and accounting for assets, as well as guidance on addressing financial sustainability, compiling a financial strategy, developing a long-term financial plan and compiling and using financial sustainability indicators as these ensure the sustainability/affordability of the asset management plan.
