This online platform will allow transportation practitioners to easily access the guidance, tools, and supporting work products under development through NCHRP Project 08-109A: Updating the AASHTO Transportation Asset Management Guide.

There are a number of ways to browse the guide.

  • If you want to read the guide one chapter at a time, you can read about what you’ll find in each chapter on the Guide Overview page.

  • If you’re new to TAM, get up to speed using the Getting Started page. You’ll find all the elements of the guide you’ll need to get familiar with TAM.

  • If you’d like to read about TAM practices, you can visit the Practices page. You’ll find guidance on maturing your TAM practice and a map that lets you browse TAM practice examples by state.

  • If you’re looking for information about a particular topic, visit the Topics page to browse the guide by a chosen topic.

  • If you’d like to access a searchable database of publications as well as the how-to guides, checklists, and examples included in the guide, visit the Resources page.

  • Two pre-recorded webinars provide an introduction to the guide. The first has a policy focus the second has a practitioner focus.
